Jim Clifford, Professor Emeritus of History of Consciousness, has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences
The noted "ethnographic historian," will be inducted into the academy in October along with the likes of Dave Brubeck, Ken Burns, Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, and two other UCSC colleagues: Jim Zachos (Earth & Planetary Sciences) and Tom Banks (Physics).
